Realising you have an eye condition and adapting to life with it can evoke feelings of isolation and fear.
However, you're not alone in this journey. Our dedicated team, comprised of NHS professionals and volunteers, stands ready to support you at every turn.
Our integrated patient support service provides a range of help and advice for patients who often find themselves having to deal with devastating news about their sight conditions.
The team offers counselling, emotional and psychological support as well as practical advice and information on services outside the hospital. This ranges from help with staying in work to visual aids.

The service provides face-to-face confidential information, advice and counselling for all eye clinic patients and relatives or carers at the time of diagnosis, throughout treatment and during follow-up.
Patients are seen for an initial assessment and then offered further input as appropriate. The number of sessions is usually limited to between six and 12.
Funding for the team is supported by several charitable organisations, including the Marie-Louise Von Motesiczky Charitable Trust, the Friends of Moorfields and Action for Blind People.
Don't hesitate to reach out and connect with them for assistance and reassurance.
