This edition of Moorfields Magazine is the second of a series of three showing how we turn our values into action.
The second theme is Kindness, and we feature the volunteers of Moorfields and the support they give. The final magazine in the series will focus on Excellence.
We cover humanitarian work by Moorfields surgeons who travelled to Bangladesh to perform sight-saving surgery on 24 students injured during protests, advances in artificial intelligence for eye care and patient stories showcasing life-changing cataract surgeries and other treatments that have restored vision and improved quality of life.
We also celebrate our achievements, including receiving the highest patient satisfaction rating for A&E services in England, our staff members named on the Ophthalmologist Power List 2025, and update on the progress on their new centre for advancing eye health, opening in 2027.
