| Professor Sir Peng Tee Khaw is a world-renowned consultant ophthalmic surgeon at Moorfields Eye Hospital, specialising in adult and paediatric glaucoma. He has pioneered surgical techniques and therapies including the Moorfields Safer Surgery System, now used globally. As co-director of the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre and professor of glaucoma and ocular healing at UCL, he continues to lead groundbreaking research in stem cell therapy and optic nerve regeneration. Knighted for services to ophthalmology and with over 600 publications, Professor Khaw is one of the world's leading figures in ophthalmology. He was inducted into The Ophthalmologist Hall of Fame in 2023. |
